Louise’s work is designed and made using skills acquired through an academic study of art and design and technical training alongside the expertise gained through a tradition of making.
After A Levels, an Art Foundation Course at Eastbourne was followed by her Degree in Art, Theatre and English at the University College of St John, York.
Louise continued to refine her skills taking courses in Traditional Patchwork, Corsetry, Felt making and The Open College of The Arts, Textiles.
Louise is inspired by historical costume and style through the ages with a nod to the classics of haute couture.
Her love of colour, drama and texture is evident in all her work.
Louise has exhibited her work with the Crafts Council at Origin at Somerset House.
Louise is a member of The Sussex Guild of Designers and Makers.
